How to Prepare

Watch the show

The Castle of Deception is inspired by The Traitors — and while you do not need to be an expert, familiarity with the show will dramatically improve your experience (and your chances of survival).

Before the event, we strongly recommend watching at least a few episodes of The Traitors on Peacock.

Why it matters:

  • You’ll understand the rhythm of the game

  • You’ll recognize common strategies, tells, and mistakes

  • You’ll know when to stay quiet — and when to strike

  • You’ll enjoy the drama much more

Guests who have seen the show tend to:

  • Play harder

  • Lie better

  • Spot Traitors faster

  • And generally have more fun

What is the cost

As always, food, drinks, and an amazing experience are all just a part of my castle experience.

$10 per person secures your place in the game and will go directly into the prize pot.  Every contribution grows the prize, which will be awarded at the end by those that survive. You can Venmo @Kara-Welch10  or Zelle before the event karamariotti@gmail.com/phone number 330-256-6846.

Also, guests may attempt to gain information from the bartender. Generosity may influence what is shared.

Be ready for

If you have been to one of my events before, you probably already know I don't play. You can expect:  â€‹

  • A structured game with multiple rounds

  • Secret roles (Faithfuls… and Traitors)

  • Banishments, murders, shields, riddles, and clues

  • Themed rooms with puzzles and hidden advantages

  • A final showdown where only the smartest survive

There will be food, drinks, desserts, and a bartender…

But make no mistake — the game comes first.

What to wear

Costumes are STRONGLY encouraged. Dress as though you've been invited to a very old castle...that not everyone is expected to leave.

Think:

  • Traitors–inspired looks

  • Creepy castle or gothic manor

  • Scottish highlands, cloaks, capes, velvet, tartan

  • Dark, dramatic, suspicious energy

Velvet, tartan, lace, tweed, leather, dark florals. Capes are welcome. Suspicion encourages. â€‹
